In its sixth year, the Homeland Security Innovation conference focuses on innovative technologies addressing terrorist and natural threats to the nation's security, and promotes the role of the Charleston region in bringing government, business and military entities together to develop solutions.  The Charleston region is highlighted as a hub of technology research, development, practical testing and pilot initiatives for a wide range of applications.

This year's theme focuses on counter terrorism and will feature presentations on cyber security, port and border security, immigration, and disaster preparedness and recovery.  All of which are major priorities of the Department of Homeland Security.
